除了全波來鐵基地外 還要加上一些(5~10%)耐磨相---碳化物(全白色), 史帝田鉄(有芝麻點處). Hard phases (Carbide and Steadite) are required in the matrix of Pearlite for wear resistance in grey iron cylinder liners.

經900C退火. 故層片狀波來鉄大部份都已球粒化. Annealed at 900C. Most of the pearlite is spheroidized in this specimen from glass mold. Ti was added to enhence D-type graphite.

高溫退火過. 所以波來鉄有球粒化現象. Had been annealed at high temp, therefore you see spheroidization of Pearlite. Large carbide are tinted pink, mostly. Ti was added to promote D-type graphite. You can see many cubic particles of TiN.

Photos taken from pig iron that froze in iron mold. Light color areas are upper temp transformation product, fine pearlite; while dark color areas are lower temp transformation products, Martensite and Retained Austenite.

氣缸壁上的微縮孔群 shrinkage porosity
Shrinkage pores found on bore surface of a cylinder from SWAN. Was mis-judged as 砂孔 (gas pores). Wrong diagnosis would lead to a wrong rectification measure.
