Austenized at 1020C and quenched held at 300C. Microstructures are: graphite flakes + Bainite + Austenite islands. The interweaving of Bainite with austenite (hard and tough phase) makes this material wear-resistant, tough and much stronger than pearlitic gray iron. But still weaker than ADI, as a matter of course. ADI parts perform even better than Q/T steel forgings in many applications.
