* Poor contact of cup to cup_connector (the black plastic thing where CE cup sits) on cup stand. 2 metal contact points: the fat one is + pole and the thin one is - pole , if negative pole is bent outward two much, poor contact might occur and when a cup is put on the cup connector, computer cannot detect the cup.
Remedy: use a pliers to bend the negative pole "inward" just a little bit and make the wire of the cup have good contact to the poles.
* Poor contact of A/D card to its PCI slot will show
1. room temperature even if there is no cup on the cupstand. or,
2. a jagged, zig-zag curve instead of a smooth curve.
* Poor contact of Temp signal processing card of its 5V power suppy connector will disply -80C on the screen.
"Search card error !" will pops up if this A/D card does not have good contact to its slot. In this case, you can do some adjustment it this card. It will get loose after several months, or years of use because of the small vibration from the cooling fan inside the computer.
