 Edeex is the No. 1  P/M tooling manufacturer in Taiwan and I am glad to have the honor to work with it.

Photo A: Color etched. Carbide particles tinted purple. Matrix= T. M.+R.A.  Too much R. A. in the matrix of this P/M tool steel  led to swelling of the tooling before production. The tooling was scrapped before put into production.

浸蝕(基地鉄原子溶入酸蝕液)後, 原本呈鏡面的基地往下降, 碳化物微粒(不溶於酸)突出基地 1 ~ 2 um. 基地皺皺的是因為有 Retained Austenite. 照片 D 試片平面與電子束呈 60度 (稍微側光, 微粒一邊亮一邊暗), 故碳化物微粒較有立体感. 微粒有雙(三)胞胎, 應是HIP時合併.
