AISI 1010 steel forging. Scrap rate of leakage test was way too high( >30%). Carbide films (divorced pearlite) and angular islands of pearlite, pointed by arrows, caused microcracks during cold forging, and resulted in high pressure air leakage.
Spheroidized 1010 should have been selected for the cold forging process.
